Christmas Day with the DuBay Family

Brendan and Lauren spent an afternoon at Grandpa and Grandma DuBay's house with Grandpa's five siblings and their families. Lauren found Sue DuBay to be the perfect partner for working on her flashcards. Sue encouraged Lauren to make her duck sounds all afternoon.

Tom, Brendan and Zippy hung out all day. Tom let Brendan "walk the dog" in the house all day.

Christmas Morming at Our Home

While dozens of presents await their owners, Brendan and Lauren appear not to notice them. They both immediately started playing with toys they had received the night before . . .

Are these kids for real?

Brendan unwrapped his bike and said, "I cannot believe it. The elves made me a BLUE bike. Blue is my favorite color."

Brendan puts on a puppet show. While the story line was a bit confusing, he did manage to have a finger puppet on each digit at one point. 

Lauren shows off her faux fur coat from Grandma and Grandpa Holt. She strutted around in it all morning like she was a Pink Lady. 

The kids settle in for a fake food feast. 

Brendan kindly shows Lauren all the features of her new kitchen.

Lauren thought Grandma DuBay was hysterical.

Brendan checks out a cool pop-up dinosaur book from Anne and Tom. 

Lauren loved stealing toys from her cousin, Catherine.
