Brendan and Lauren's Two and Four Year Portraits.

 

 

 

 

In an interesting turn of events, Brendan posed himself and asked the photographer to take this shot. 

We celebrated Lauren's birthday with all of the DuBays up at the cottage. She was thrilled when she saw all things duck -- cake, wrapping paper, presents, etc.

Lauren may have believed that the duck was edible. She kept licking the frosting off the duckie. 

After the cake, the kids needed a serious wipe down. We think Catherine enjoyed the company.

Lauren wanted to drive the boat. Every time Grandpa DuBay would put his hand on the wheel, she would push him away and pinch him. She was in charge. 

Brendan is the captain of the Miss Mary Ann. 

Lauren is lotioned up and ready for the beach. 

Lauren thinks she is very cool as she chats on her plastic phone. She knows she is not supposed to be on that chair or have her feet on the table, but she doesn't care. She thinks it is hysterical.

May 22, 2006 7 p.m. Brendan celebrates his birthday with Grandma and Grandpa DuBay, us, and Mike, Sarah and Catherine.  

I took Brendan out to lunch at a diner in downtown Rochester. He loved sitting at the counter and befriended a 87 year old man next to us. This nice man and Brendan chatted and Brendan informed him that it was his fourth birthday. When the man finished his meal, he turned to Brendan and gave him $4 for his birthday. It was unbelievable!  

May 22, 2006 9:30 a.m. I joined Brendan on his birthday for the last day of school. He had a good year with Miss Debbie and the crew. 

The kids enjoyed the Star Wars cupcakes that we brought to class on Brendan's birthday.

Brendan's Fourth Birthday. The stage is set for Brendan's Star Wars Birthday Party. He'd asked for this party for over a year.
