Mother- Son Dance

Brendan and I enjoyed our first Mother-Son dance. While the party was billed as a "fiesta", the only evidence of the theme was the sign declaring "Fiesta" posted above the snack area in the elementary school gym.

Brendan was thrilled with the sherbet-sprite punch and ample supply of cookies. We danced the limbo, chicken dance, and YMCA. Brendan embraced all of the dance moves. Unfortunately, his dress shoes embraced his heel and created a large blister. It was a wonderful 1.5 hour party.

Within minutes of their arrival, Brendan and Grandma Holt

Lauren loved the butterfly exhibit.

Rainbow

When I was on the couch feeding Danny, Lauren told me that she was

"drawing a rainbow all myself."

I mistakenly interpreted that to mean that she was drawing a rainbow all BY herself.

Easter Dinner with the DuBays

Things were fairly calm when we started to take pictures.

All five grandkids and the grandparents appeared to be ready for the photo shoot.

Brendan and Lauren started to feel a bit like wrestling.

The photo shoot was over -- less than 2 minutes after it started.

Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny thrilled Brendan with Star Wars items.

Lauren added another duck to her collection.

Danny didn't seem to notice the ears.

Brendan spends hours crafting battle scenes in his room

with his blocks and Star Wars action figures.

More Ballet

Lauren had a "recital" for her class. Grandma DuBay came to watch her

and she was thrilled to have an audience.

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

The kids are dressed and ready for the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Lauren found an undiscovered stockpile of eggs.

Brian helped the kids empty their eggs.

I am well aware that Danny may never forgive me for this picture.

While Lauren adores all things duck, Danny was NOT happy I dressed him as one.
