Brendan and Lauren meet Daniel

Here is a short video of Brendan and Lauren (along with Grandma and Grandpa DuBay) meeting Daniel for the first time.

After four days in the hospital, it was time to take Daniel home and start flying without a net. Here Brian and Karen strike their traditional "leaving the hospital" pose with Daniel.

Daniel decided to join us 16 days earlier than planned. On Saturday Karen could tell something just wasn't right with him and in the evening called her doctor who told her to go to the hospital. Although he looked good the doctor decided not to wait and thirty minutes after the decision Karen was in the OR.

Daniel passed all his tests with flying colors and he and Karen are doing very well.

Although all the preparations for his arrival are not completed (we had 2 more weeks) we are thrilled that he is here.

You can expect many more pictures of him and his siblings in the near future.

We caught one of the few moments Daniel had his eyes open on his first day. Most of the day was spent sleeping in either Karen or Brian's arms.

Brian and Daniel had a rough day which included watching the Seahawks lose to the Bears in overtime.
