Carolyn and Njord Visit. Carolyn and Njord spent some time with us and experienced life with a chatty 4 year old and obstinate 2 year old. Here is Aunt Carolyn with the kids at the cider mill.

When we took the kids to the Cider Mill, Brian and Njord enjoyed the scenary while chatting on their phones. 

Brendan and Lauren cozied up to Carolyn to read their books.

Pictures of Brendan's first day fo preschool. Lauren would not get out of the shot -- everywhere Brendan went, she trailed him. She cried hysterically when we left him at the school. It took her almost an hour to calm down. She kept saying, "I miss my Boo."

This is what happens when your 2 year old hops out of her crib and decides it would be fun to empty her drawers. When I opened the door, she jumped from the pile of clothes and scream "TA DAH"! 

Brendan caught a ride with Anne and Tom on the Au Sable River over Labor Day. While they may have flipped a few times, Brendan preferred their company to ours. 

Here is a shot of the kids relaxing at the cottage. Lauren always finds a way to snuggle up next to Brendan. She isn't a firm believer in "personal space". 

When Brian comes home from work, within 15 minutes the kids are wrestiling with him or climibing on him. Lauren screams "HEE HAW" when they hop on his back. 

Brendan and Lauren spend an inordinate amount of time playing Star Wars. In this scene, Lauren has wrapped herself as a Jedi and armed herself with a laser shooter. Brendan is always at the ready with a light sabre. 

We took Brendan to a Detroit Tigers' baseball game. He loved everything -- particularly the cotton candy.

Lauren has become a bit of a ham. If a camera is anywhere near her, she screams "CHEESE" at the top of her lungs. 

We took the kids to see The Wiggles. They both had a great time and were able to meet Murray Wiggle. 

Lauren danced her heart out at the concert.
